Usability Issues
The previous setup for recipes was using post types and categories. It was difficult for users to find the recipes they wanted to view, and there was no way to search by ingredients. Also, the content was within Tabs, making it not ideal for SEO and difficult to navigate between the posts.
Solution
By using a recipe plugin called “Cooked“, we are able to browse and search categories by ingredients, categories, and keywords. Recipes are also displayed in a consistent format. Adding new recipes is also much easier for the client and recipes are automatically displayed alphabetically.
